Caitlyn, who suffers from infantile cerebral palsy and congenital diplegia, loves to play outside with her brothers but couldn’t use a bicycle due to her special needs and training wheels didn’t provide the balance and stability she needed. An adaptive tricycle was needed.
Caitlyn’s step-father works full time and her mother stays home to care for Caitlyn and transport her to doctor appointments. With $1,000 monthly insurance premiums, her family didn’t have the financial means to provide an adaptive tricycle nor would insurance cover the cost.
HCCI was able to provide Caitlyn with an adaptive tricycle and now Caitlyn enjoys riding around her neighborhood, playing with her family and friends.
